Wednesday 18th March

First we went to  Joensuu airport at 5.15 am. Then we flew to Helsinki and landed at Helsinki-Vantaa airport at around 7 am. We didn’t have much time in Helsinki so we went straight to the gate. We landed at Paris (Charles de Gaulle) airport at 9.40 am. The flight from Helsinki to Paris took about three hours. The flight wasn’t so long. Our next flight was from Paris to Lyon and we landed at Lyon airport St Exupery at around noon.

 We were very hungry after the flights, and first we went to some restaurant at Lyon airport. The food was very good. After lunch we went to Starbucks coffee and we bought there something to drink.

 

  We met the other Comenius-students around 2.30 pm. When we had all the Comenius-students at Lyon airport, we got on the bus and started our trip to Le Puy-En-Velay. We arrived at the school of Corsac at about 6 pm and met our host families. Then all the students left for their host families' home and the first day was over.

Friday September 26th

We said goodbyes for our host families and students and left for Thessaloniki by coach. There we went to the airport and saw other Comenius students and said goodbyes to them. Our flight left at about 4 p.m to Vienna. There we had a little time to go shopping and our next flight flew to Frankfurt. And from Frankfurt we flew back to Helsinki. It was very rainy, cold and windy there. There went to our hotel. On Saturday morning we travelled by train to Joensuu.                        

Thursday September 25th

We went to see the Meteora’s monasteries. They are built on top of high volcanic rocks. We had a guided tour in two of them.

 
After Meteora we had dinner in a mountain restaurant.

After that we went back to Farsala to see our friends for last time.

Wednesday September 24th

We went early in the morning to the school and headed for the island of Skiathos. It was a long trip, first by coach then by boat. 

 

  On the island we went to see Papadiamandi’s house(he was Greek writer). Then we had some free time for eating and shopping.  

 After Skiathos we went to Koukonaris beach where we went swimming. Then we went back to Farsala and the host families.
